Single Medal

An individual medal offered or collected on its own rather than as part of a larger group. Its appeal can depend on the award, recipient, condition, rarity, and supporting history.

Understanding medal terminology can help when researching military medals, campaign awards, gallantry decorations, medal groups, and inherited collections. If you have medals you would like to have assessed, learn more about our medal valuation service.
